In this uncertain time where the Coronavirus (COVID-19) is active everywhere, we have to be especially cautious. Hospitals are not the best place to be at the moment. Besides that, hospital guidelines are changing every day and this can determine whether or not doulas are allowed to be present during the birth.

To reduce the spreading of the coronavirus it’s better to postpone visitors who like to see your baby postpartum. Only if everyone is healthy, no one is in the risk group and no one had potential contact with infected people (but how sure do you know?), then it’s allowed. Take care of hygiene, wash your hands often, keep social distance, don’t shake hands and clean your home.
