Group Classes: Preparing for Childbirth
Below, you'll find an overview of the dates and content of the upcoming Childbirth and Newborn Care & Basic Breastfeeding Classes. These classes are designed to provide invaluable knowledge, guidance, and support as you embark on motherhood. By attending these classes with other expecting parents, you can share experiences and any questions you may have. For those interested, we also offer the option of Personal Classes.
Childbirth Class
Welcome to our comprehensive 4-hour childbirth class, where we will explore a wide range of essential topics to empower your birthing process. This class covers issues critical to help you during pregnancy, labor, and birthing. We will provide Evidence-Based Information to empower you and your partner to make informed decisions during the labor and birthing process.
The group size is limited to a maximum of 6 couples to allow for personal attention (one of our key values) and time for questions.

Expanded (Four-Session) Childbirth Class
This four-session childbirth class covers the essential childbirth topics in more depth, with a focus on women and their partners who want to learn the natural process of childbirth while increasing comfort, decreasing unnecessary interventions, instilling positivity and confidence, and navigating their unique journey with proven knowledge, tools, and techniques.
Attending a Childbirth Class

As a certified instructor and birth doula with over 10 years of experience, Irene Kim will teach this class. She will draw on her vast knowledge and experience, and focus on the most practical and helpful information, based on mothers' experiences and reputable research, to instill the confidence and peace to embrace birth.
Dates: The following four-session classes will be on March 7, 14, 21, and 28, 2026. |
Location: The class will be held on 4 consecutive Saturdays from 9-11am in Urbana, MD, or you can join virtually via Zoom.

Newborn Care & Basic Breastfeeding Class
