MEET KIM STINGER CERTIFIED BIRTH DOULA & POSTPARTUM DOULA
Kim grew up in Northern Virginia, Vienna to be exact. She’s the oldest of three children. Her parents both come from huge families so everything she does is about family. Kim is also a mom to 5 daughters who all live locally; one is in the military on the West Coast.
Kim spent most of her adult life working in Corporate America in administrative positions. Shortly after the birth of her 5th daughter, she went to massage school with hopes of creating work life balance. After graduating she began working offering pre/post natal massage. A little over a year later she trained to become a doula.
Kim trained with the International Doula Institute for her postpartum doula certification and H.E.R.B.A.L for birth and placenta encapsulation certifications. Since becoming a birth and postpartum doula, she has trained with Spinning Babies and Hypnobabies to help clients with mind and body connections to balance the body and hopefully have shorter labors. Kim has also trained with Lamaze for Childbirth Education and provides private and group classes.
When Kim isn’t working she’s spending time with her family. She loves gardening, experimenting with herbs and body butters, and catching a great concert on the lawn at Wolftrap.
“I do not believe birthing persons should suffer during labor/birth, but I do believe they should have the option to birth however they’d like.” Kim Stinger
Danelle has always had a passion for care taking and nurturing. She has worked with families as a professional Nanny for 7 years and is striving to become a certified Postpartum Doula. Danelle’s Postpartum Doula journey started in May 2022. Working with infants over the past few years has given her a glimpse at the much-needed support, education, and nurturing new parents need. Danelle has taken a DONA certified Postpartum Doula training as well as a Newborn Care Specialist course and is ready to start supporting new birthing persons and families in this new phase of life. During her free time, she loves knitting, hiking with her pup Rocco and playing golf with her Husband. Danelle can’t wait to meet you and support you and your family in whichever way you need!
I became a doula to offer the knowledge, care, and support families deserve during the exciting, yet often daunting, time of pregnancy, labor, birth, and postpartum. I was fortunate enough to have my mother close by. She attended all five of my deliveries and helped tremendously in so many ways after my babies were born. I know that not all families have this option, so I would love to be that support person that we all need. Accepting help is the opposite of failing, it's the only way to succeed! The heart of my passion is serving as a consistent source of encouragement for families.
I have a BS in Early Childhood Education form Wheelock College in Boston and an MA in Infant Special Education from The George Washington University. I am a certified Birth and Postpartum Doula through Lifespan Doulas. l'm also Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED certified. I am COVID vaccinated and boosted.
I'm a mother to five amazing children, Larkin (16), Aidan (13), Cavan (11), Cailin (9), and Mairin (5). My birth experiences were all very different, but I learned so much from each one. I personally experienced a cesarean birth with my first, followed by 4 successful VBACs that I am very proud of! I absolutely loved this time in my life and am so excited to support other families during this exciting time of transition.
I'm here to support you and your family in whatever way you need!
Anette used to work as a midwife in Norway and Sweden for 34 years. She followed her husband to the USA for his work and since she misses working with moms & babies, she started working as a Postpartum Doula in the DMV area. She's wonderful, very knowledgeable and exactly what you need.
