Welcome to our upcoming group classes that prepare you for childbirth. The birth classes are designed to provide invaluable knowledge, guidance, and support you as you embark on your journey into motherhood. By attending these classes together with other expecting parents, you'll have the opportunity to also share experiences and any questions you may have. For those interested, we also offer the option of Personal Classes.
Childbirth Classes
Pregnant women in a Childbirth Class
Welcome to our comprehensive 4-hour childbirth class, where we will explore a wide range of essential topics to empower you on your journey to parenthood. This class will cover essential topics that can help you during pregnancy, labor, and the birthing process. We will provide Evidence-Based Information to empower you and your partner to make informed decisions on your journey to parenthood.
To allow for personal attention (one of our key values) and time for any questions you may have, the group size is limited to a maximum of 6 couples.
Class topics include:
Stages of labor and recognizing the signs that labor is progressing
Relaxation and comfort measures (breathing, massage, positions) support you during labor
Skills and strategies to be a supportive coach/partner throughout the labor process
Variations, common interventions, and unexpected situations and how to navigate these
Hands-on assistance with creating your preference birth plan
Understanding possible postpartum emotional changes as well as strategies for recovery and self-care during the postpartum period

The cost for this class is $225 (for you and your partner).
Our childbirth educator, Dee Dee Roan or Irene Kim, are excited to lead the class, and we are grateful toIndigo Physiotherapyfor providing the space. Water is provided, and you can bring your own lunch or snack.

The Bradley Method of childbirth is designed for women who want to have an unmedicated birth with minimal medical intervention. Classes are small and cover nutrition, relaxation techniques for labor and birth, breastfeeding, postpartum, breastfeeding basics and more. Partners are included as active coaches.
Dates: Irene Kim will provide the next 4-session Saturday morning Bradley Class. The first session will be October 26 from 9am to 11am (follwed by sessions on November 2, 9 and 16).
The cost for this class is $300 (for you and your partner).
