Group Classes: Preparing for Childbirth

The 4-hour Childbirth Class and Newborn Care & Basic Breastfeeding Class (provided on Saturdays in Rockville) are designed to provide invaluable knowledge, guidance, and support as you embark on parenthood. By attending these classes with other expecting parents, you can share experiences and any questions you may have. For those interested, we also offer Personal Classes.

Childbirth Class

​​Welcome to our comprehensive 4-hour childbirth class, where we will explore a wide range of essential topics to empower your birthing process. This class covers critical issues to help you during pregnancy, labor, and birth. We will provide Evidence-Based Information to empower you and your partner to make informed decisions during labor and birth. 

​The group size is limited to 6 couples to allow for personal attention (one of our key values) and time for questions. ​

  • 3rd-semester overview
  • Stages of labor
  • Comfort techniques
  • Partner support skills and strategies
  • Common medical procedures
  • Cesarean birth

Newborn Care and Basic Breastfeeding Class

​Welcome to our comprehensive four-hour newborn care and introductory breastfeeding class. This class explores a wide range of essential topics to empower you on your journey to parenthood.

​The group size is limited to 6 couples to allow for personal attention (one of our key values) and time for questions. ​
